ISASecure Lab Certifies Honeywell Controller

Sept. 16, 2015
Honeywell Experion C300 Controller R410 receives ISASecure EDSA certification.
An ISASecure accredited test lab, exida, certifies the Honeywell Experion C300 Controller R410 to the ISASecure Embedded Device Security Assurance (EDSA) certification. The Experion C300 Controller R410 is Honeywell’s newest firmware version of its Experion C300 Controller product line. The certification for the Experion C300 Controller demonstrates Honeywell’s continued commitment to the ISASecure industrial automation and control system (IACS) cybersecurity conformance scheme, according to the organization.

The C300 controller supports a variety of process control situations, including continuous and batch processes and integration with smart field devices, and works across a variety of networks. ISASecure assures that the Experion C300 Controller R410 is free of known cybersecurity vulnerabilities and robust against network attacks. The ISASecure EDSA certification assesses IACS products against the draft IEC 62443-4-2 and IEC 62443-4-1 standards and will be updated when the final standards are fully approved.

“Honeywell has been a thought leader in securing control system products used in critical infrastructure,” states Andre Ristaino, managing director of the ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI). “ISASecure certifies IACS products and systems to the IEC 62443 series of international standards for IACS cybersecurity, providing assurances that they are free of known vulnerabilities and resilient against network attacks.”
