The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has set March 10 as the deadline to submit comments and additional feedback for standards that enhance chemical facility safety.
Anyone interested in submitting comments can send the information electronically at www.regulations.gov, by fax or regular mail. Fax submissions should be sent to the OSHA Docket Office at 202-693-1648.OSHA allows fax transmission of comments and additional material that are 10 pages or fewer in length (including attachments).
Mail submissions can be sent to the OSHA Docket Office, Docket No. OSHA-2013-0020 or RIN 1218-AC82, Technical Data Center, Room N-2625, OSHA, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., NW., Washington, DC 20210. All submissions must include the agency's name and the docket number for the request for information (OSHA-2013-0020).
The request for information is a follow-up to the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas, in April, 2013. President Obama signed an executive order that established a working group of federal agencies that are looking to improve and modernize regulations and standards to enhance the safety and security of chemical facilities.
