Selas Fluid Processing Changes Name

March 14, 2013
Company now called Linde Engineering North America to better reflect engineering expertise.

Selas Fluid Processing Corp. has approved a name change to Linde Engineering North America Inc. effective immediately.

“The name change better reflects our status as a global technology, engineering, procurement, and construction firm,” said Bruce Hensinger, president and CEO of Linde Engineering North America.

The company engineers, supplies and constructs air separation and synthesis gas plants as well as technology furnaces and fired process equipment for the refining, petrochemical, chemical, gas, and pharmaceutical industries.

Acquired in 1983 by Linde AG of Munich, Germany, Selas became a subsidiary of Linde’s engineering division. In 2009, Linde Engineering’s air separation, hydrogen and synthesis gas plant product lines serving the NAFTA region were transferred to Selas. That same year, Selas relocated its Revamp Services group to Houston.

The company’s technology furnaces and fired process equipment will continue to be marketed under the Selas trademark.
