Dräger introduces the X-am 125 Mark II Pump for portable multi-gas detectors, compatible with the X-am 2500, 5000 and 5600, allowing for confined space entry measurements and leak search. Advanced technology and a more durable design permit use of the X-am 125 Mark II Pump across a wide variety of industries including wastewater treatment, pharma, oil and gas, chemical and fire services. With improved modular capabilities, the external pump provides flexibility for customer applications.
Built to be efficient and simple to use, the X-am 125 Mark II Pump automatically switches on when connected to a running X-am device and turns off when removed to conserve power. It features a rechargeable battery, and offers users more than 20 hours of continuous operation, according to the company. Operating time of the X-am is reportedly not decreased when the pump is in operation. In addition, pump operating time and the flow alarm results are stored in the data logger, making it possible to easily view the data and differentiate between measurements taken by the x-am device with or without the pump attached.
To better support workers’ daily routines, the pump’s manageable 6.9-inch (17.5-cm) height and lightweight structure make it easy to carry and store, while the solid cast battery is built to withstand damage from possible impact. The design also includes dust- and water-resistant properties, according to the IP67 protection classification, and is capable of reliable performance at temperatures down to -40 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees Fahrenheit). The device also features explosion protection for Ex zone 0 locations and connects to 3 or 5 mm diameter hoses, up to 45 meters (148 feet), capable of reaching ambient atmospheres in accessible areas.
