MSA’s Ultima X Series Products Are SIL 2 Compliant

MSA, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of safety products, recently announced its Ultima XA, XE and XIR Gas Monitor products have been assessed to IEC 61508 and are in compliance with this standard’s SIL 2 requirements. SIL (Safety Integrity Level) compliance is increasingly required on general industry gas monitoring products. These MSA products meet stringent SIL 2 compliance safety specification requirements. SIL2 Safety Manuals are available from MSA upon customer request.
