Sturtevant Inc., a supplier of process equipment, has entered into an agreement as exclusive supplier of corn fractionation mills to Crown Iron Works, one of the world’s largest providers of corn fractionation systems.
“The Sturtevant Simpactor is a perfect fit with the Crown Corn Fractionation System," says Sturtevant’s President and CEO, W. Sturtevant English Jr. "Our expertise in fractionation coupled with our ongoing dedication to exploring new ways to increase ethanol plant efficiencies and profits keeps Crown on the cutting edge. This agreement allows us to contribute a total solution for our customers in the ethanol industry.”
The Crown Corn Fractionation system is a combination of de-germinators (pin mills), aspirators, screeners and roller mills and is designed to isolate three distinct fractions into streams of germ, endosperm starch and bran from whole corn. The Simpactor Pin Mill is said to be the key component in the Crown Corn Fractionation System that fractures the corn kernel into the three parts.
