The COVID-19 outbreak is wreaking havoc on businesses. A Dun & Bradstreet report indicates that 94% of Fortune 1,000 companies are experiencing supply chain delays. This is in addition to workplace absences, lower productivity, travel cutbacks and reduced trade and investment, according to Bloomberg Businessweek, which has developed a checklist to help businesses prepare for continued complications from the coronavirus and future disruptions.
The publication gathered advice from a dozen crisis planning and supply chain experts about preparing for short-term crises and long-term impacts. The checklist features nine steps ranging from the “easy stuff,” like updating HR guidelines to the “medium-hard” – identifying critical operations and the “hard” stuff – such as, "defusing your supply chain time bomb."
