    The Dow Chemical Company designs a lightweight face shield for health care workers battling the COVID-19 outbreak, according to an article from WSGW.com. The company is reportedly sharing its design through an open-source file in an effort to accelerate production of the personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Dow’s face shield design features just two component, a shield and forehead cushion, to speed distribution, according to the article. Companies interested in making the face shield can visit Dow’s design file online.
