EPA Extends Deadline For 2020 TSCA Chemical Data Reporting Submissions
Dec. 7, 2020
The submission deadline for 2020 reports is extended to January 29, 2021.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) amends the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) regulations by extending the submission deadline for 2020 reports to January 29, 2021 from November 30, 2020. The EPA notes this will be the final extension for the 2020 CDR, according to an article from the National Law Review.
The deadline was reportedly extended in response to stakeholders’ concerns regarding the ability to timely report due to technical issues with EPA’s electronic reporting system and other resource limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Companies must report under CDR if they manufactured or imported at least 25,000 pounds of a reportable chemical substance at one or more U.S. sites from 2016 through 2019.
