Intergraph Process, Power & Marine, part of Hexagon and a provider of enterprise engineering software, agrees to acquire EcoSys Management LLC, a provider of enterprise project controls software. The acquisition of EcoSys will add project controls to Intergraph’s existing enterprise portfolio.
EcoSys’ flagship software solution, EcoSys EPC (Enterprise Planning & Controls) is used by the project controls industry, both in PPM (process, power & marine) and AEC (architectural, engineering & construction) markets, according to Intergraph. A web-based platform introduced in 2006, it provides capabilities from project portfolio management and capital program management through budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. EcoSys sells its software for on-premise use, as a hosted solution and as a software as a service (SaaS) model.
Inc. magazine recently ranked EcoSys on its 34th annual Inc. 5000 List, a ranking of U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent companies. EcoSys’ revenue increased 222% during the three-year span evaluated by Inc. magazine, according to Intergraph.
EcoSys, which has approximately 100 employees in the United States, will continue as a standalone operation under its current management team. EcoSys is headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, a Denver suburb, with a research and development facility in New York City, an office in Houston and sales support locations in London and Sydney.
