Steve Elliott | Senior Director- Safety and Critical Control Process Automation | Schneider Electric

Steve Elliott is a senior director for Schneider Electric Process Automation control and safety (Triconex) offerings.
He is a certified functional safety engineer with more than 30 years' experience in the process control and automation industry and has extensive experience in safety systems and the safety lifecycle, PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.

He began his career in the automobile industry, serving as a control and instrument engineer involved in the research and development of engine control systems at Ricardo Consulting Engineers. He has held subsequent positions at Field Electronics, involved in the design and manufacture of data acquisition systems, and Silver Tech International, a system integrator, where he gained experience designing and working with various programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems.

He joined Invensys in 2003, where he has held numerous roles of increasing responsibility, including the role of Triconex sales director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and then global product director for Triconex safety and critical control systems and offerings, responsible primarily for future direction and go-to-market strategy.

In 2013 he joined ABB Enterprise Software (Ventyx) responsible for the introduction of a new process safety management software solution to the EMEA region before joining Schneider Electric in 2015.

He resides on several steering committees and has the pleasure of working with many end users to improve our industry's safety. He is a recognized presenter at industry forums and events, has published many articles and white papers, and is a patent holder.
