Yokogawa Electric Corp. has launched the fifth release of the Centum VP integrated production control system.
Centum VP Release 5 includes a new field control station and a unified gateway station (UGS) that allows Centum VP to control and monitor all the systems at plants.
In oil and gas fields and other applications where facilities may be scattered over a very wide area, the UGS can establish a link with the small-scale systems (such as utilities) at each site as well as with Yokogawa’s Stardom network-based control system. As a result, the UGS makes possible the integrated control and monitoring of an entire system comprising both central large-scale facilities and remote facilities via the Centum VP human machine interface.
