Modern Process Equipment (MPE), a Chicago-based manufacturer of coffee grinding equipment, recently purchased III Sigma Company of Lawrence, Kan., a provider of automated, on-line bulk density and moisture monitoring systems.  III Sigma supplies numerous Fortune 100 companies and will contribute to MPE’s new product offerings, including:

The MPE III Sigma Reliadens: This inventive sampling device is the first on-line automated bulk density monitoring system for producers of dry flowing products and provides continuous, and instant, in-line bulk density measurements.  Additionally, the MPE Reliadens can be integrated into MPE’s grinding equipment to offer the “total package” of invariable bulk density maintenance.

The AquaDens: This unit is the first on-line automated, mechanical bulk density and moisture monitoring system for dry flowing products.
