Chemours is a global chemical company that offers titanium technologies, fluoroproducts and chemical solutions. Created by the spin-off of the DuPont Performance Chemicals businesses in July 2015, Chemours builds on over 200 years of history.
President and CEO
Mark draws on over three decades of chemical industry experience, having joined DuPont in 1980 as a process engineer in the former Fibers Department in Richmond, Virginia.
He held a variety of manufacturing, technical, and business assignments throughout his career and has lived in a variety of cities around the world. He was named vice president and general manager for DuPont Nonwovens in February 2003 and vice president and general manager for DuPont Surfaces and Building Innovations in October 2005. In June 2006, he was named group vice president of DuPont Safety & Protection. He was named executive vice president in October 2009.
Mark E. Newman
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mark E. Newman oversees financial management and reporting for Chemours. He joined the company, then a subsidiary of DuPont, in November 2014, and helped lead the transition that launched Chemours as a stand-alone, publicly traded company. Prior to joining Chemours, Mark was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SunCoke Energy Inc. The company makes coke, a solid fuel used in the manufacture of steel.
Vice President, Corporate Communications and Chief Brand Officer
Erich Parker leads corporate communications and brand for Chemours. He joined DuPont in 2008 as communications director of the company's safety and protection businesses. Two years later, as creative director and global director of corporate communications, he led the initiative to develop DuPont's positioning, including the creation of branded content and program sponsorships with such media giants as the BBC, CNN, Bloomberg, Times Now, and Fortune. Prior to joining DuPont, Erich was principal of his own public relations and marketing communications firm based in Washington, DC, and Manhattan. He moved into his current role in February 2015.
