I vividly remember the movie "The China Syndrome." It starred Jane Fonda as a news reporter and Jack Lemmon as a nuclear plant supervisor who avoids a major meltdown but isn't convinced the reactor should be brought back online. I also remember all the hubbub a few weeks after the film was released when Three Mile Island had a partial meltdown caused by operator confusion and suppressed safety concerns. The latest "Process Safety with Trish & Traci" podcast brought back those memories. Maybe I will watch the movie again. – Traci Purdum, editor in chief
