Mid-West Instrument’s 4-20mA Differential Pressure Transmitter an option on Model 240

Mid-West Instrument’s new Model 240 provides a simple, low-cost Loop Powered 8-28 Vdc two wire transmitter using the same CSA-, UL- and ATEX-rated sensor and explosion-proof housing used on the model 240 with switches. The transmitter and its industrial type terminal strip are placed in a heavy duty, cast aluminum housing. Wiring access is through a ½-inch NPT port. This unit is not yet listed for use in hazardous locations.

Accuracy is ±2% from 20% to 100% of full scale. Indicator accuracy is ±2% and is independent of the transmitter operation. This diaphragm operated unit provides total separation of high and low pressure by means of a convoluted elastomer diaphragm. The 240 can be used to measure pressure drop across filters, strainers, separators, valves and pumps.  Pressure containing elements are available in aluminum or 316 S.S. Safe working pressure for aluminum and 316 S.S. is 1500 PSIG with full over-range protection to maximum working pressure. Differential pressure ranges from 0-20 in. H20 to 0-100 PSID (0-50 mbar to7 bar).are available. Gauge fronts with 4.5-inch dials have shatter resistant lens and use reinforced, engineered plastics to eliminate corrosion.
