Magnetic Flow Meters Can Withstand a Variety of Temperature, Pressure and Chemical Conditions

July 2, 2008

Omega's FMG900 series of insertion magnetic flow meters is available in brass or stainless steel. The electrode tip is made up of PVDF material, while the housing is made of cast, powder-coated aluminum. These features allow the product to withstand a variety of temperature, pressure and chemical conditions. The flow meter has no moving parts, allowing particulate to pass by easily. A rapidly reversing magnetic field is produced in the lower housing. As the fluid moves through this field, a voltage is generated that is measured and translated into a frequency signal proportional to the flow rate. This square-wave signal can be directly sent to a PLC. Reverse flow output, analog output and immersion models are optional.

Prices start at $890.
