Winner of the 2015 EFCE Excellence in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE), Brussels, has named Bjørn Maribo-Morgensen winner of the 2015 EFCE Excellence in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties. As part of his research for a PhD at the Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby, Denmark, he successfully modeled an equation of state for systems containing electrolytes. His thesis has led to the development of engineering software potentially useful to industry for describing the effects of electrolytes on natural gas sweetening, hydrates modelling and biofuels processing.

Maribo-Morgensen, who now works as a physical property specialist at Linde Engineering, Munich, Germany, will receive the award during the 28th European Symposium on Applied Thermodynamics, which is being held in Athens, June 11-15.
