New models are designed to serve as monitors for Aalborg's GFM and AFM flowmeters, or as controllers with GFCs and AFCs.

Aalborg Instruments introduces the TIO Totalizers, which convert analog mass flowmeters and controllers into precision digital units via RS 232 or RS 485 interfaces (multi-drop capacity up to 64 devices). The new models are designed to serve as monitors for Aalborg's GFM and AFM flowmeters, or as controllers with GFCs and AFCs.

Able to be used with any third-party devices with 0‑5VDC/4‑20mA inputs and outputs, the TIO Totalizer requires no host PC presence for local or programmable set-point control and input/output signals are configured for specific applications. All process configuration parameters’ settings are password-protected to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes.

Featuring a compact size suited for wall, panel, field, or unit mount applications, the TIO can be mounted to a GFM or GFC by unscrewing the unit’s D-connector and attaching the TIO using the bracket and screws provided. It is equipped with two programmable optically-isolated digital outputs and a user-programmable pulse output with preset active low time interval.

They allow up to nine-digit total readings, are updated every 100 ms, and can be set to activate different events. The main Totalizer's accumulated total is backed up every second with EEPROM memory. Additional features include batch control, free configuration and monitoring utility software, and a display that includes instantaneous, total, and accumulated flow rates.
