Designed for manufacturers and machine builders that require smaller control systems.
Rockwell Automation’s RSLogix 5000 v20 software offers an integrated control system for manufacturers and machine builders requiring a smaller control system. In combination with scalable, right-sized control system components, the software enables users to scale from 200 to 10,000 I/O points using a single control platform and common user experience. It also introduces integrated motion capabilities.
Providing a single-development environment for Rockwell’s Integrated Architecture system, RSLogix 5000 v20 software offers the CompactLogix 5370 Series of programmable automation controllers (PACs); Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Allen-Bradley GuardLogix 5570 Series PACs; Allen-Bradley Kinetix 350 servo drive on EtherNet/IP; and Bulletin 1734 POINT Guard I/O Analog Input Module.
In addition to a new integration method that uses text-file-based electronic data sheets, the software provides an enhanced open-socket interface provides integration to other types of products. Multiple networks can be spanned with unicast I/O for safety-related applications, while floating point capabilities and a series of ladder logic instructions approved for use within each safety task.
Other capabilities include automatic device replacement for Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 755 drives; QuickConnect functionality that requires just 100 milliseconds from power up to full operation; support for new GuardLogix 5572S and 5573S safety controllers; and Point Guard I/O Analog Input Module.
