Air Compressor Is Energy Efficient

April 27, 2010

Ingersoll Rand recently launched the New R190-225ne (250-300hp) Variable Speed Drive Rotary Screw Air Compressor. This model, the latest in Ingersoll Rand's new Nirvana line, builds upon the company's 100-year history of offering time-proven designs and technologies with new, advanced features that ensure the highest levels of reliability, efficiency and productivity available in its class today.

“This new compressor continues to show our commitment to understanding what is important to our customers and designing our products to fit their specific needs.” said Vipul Mistry, PE- Marketing Manager for Ingersoll Rand. “This product will deliver maximum efficiency with the lowest cost of ownership in its class today enabling continued productivity for our customers.”

The Nirvana R190-225ne air compressor’s patented modular drive along with Hybrid Permanent Magnet (HPM) motor design increases our customers' productivity by constantly matching the compressed air output to required customer demand, thereby providing optimal energy efficient operation. The variable speed cooling system ensures consistent discharge temperature and matches energy consumption to thermal load, thus reducing energy consumption and enhancing reliability. The use of a two-stage rotary screw airend can achieve energy savings of 15% over single-stage units.

The Nirvana R190-225ne also contains fewer components that need servicing than any other compressor, with improved service access behind easily removable panels.
