Vacuum Conveyors Meet Traceability Requirements
PIAB Inc, recently presented its UC Series of vacuum conveyors. Fully-pneumatic, the UC Series features a unique unibody construction for tool-free dismantling and easy cleaning. PIAB’s UC conveyors are extremely hygienic, making them ideal for a variety of pharmaceutical processing applications, including loading and unloading coating pans, manufacturing tablet cores, and handling or transferring pharmaceutical powders.
Powered by the company’s highly regarded pneumatically air-driven vacuum pumps, the UC Series can safely and quietly transport a variety of pharmaceutical ingredients, such as sugar, dextrose, magnesium oxide, or starch. Constructed of stainless steel AISI 316L, PIAB’s UC Series features an ultra-sanitary butterfly valve and a Gore Sinbran filter, which can trap particles down to 0.5 microns. The UC Series also includes FDA approved silicone seals with a working range of -4F to 176F.
PIAB’s UC Series vacuum conveyors comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, in order to meet stringent pharmaceutical industry regulations. The conveyors can also be custom built per application to meet specific user requirements.
Material handling processes in chemical and pharmaceutical industries are held to a rigorous set of requirements to assure sanitary conveying and packaging,” said Peter Tell, Chief Technical Officer, PIAB. “Our range of products is specially designed to meet these high standards across various applications while helping manufacturers increase productivity and reduce energy consumption.”
