Conveyors Designed For Wash Down Applications

Nov. 5, 2009

A new line of stainless steel conveyors, designed for handling drums, pallets or IBC’s in wash down applications, has been introduced by Specialty Equipment of Houston, Texas.

Stainless steel conveyors transport, accumulate and transfer heavy loads like drums, pallets or IBCs at 500 to 5,000 lbs.  These units are built for wash down applications with 304 stainless steel rollers, bearings, sprockets, chains, frames and supports with a wash down drive.  The rollers and scalloped guard of these chain driven roller conveyors are sealed with UHMW splash guards and seals to prevent contamination during washdown.

The stainless steel conveyors are available as a complete system that interfaces with a drum dumping system using individual powered accumulation zones.  In addition, the system is built with “wash down” gear motors, and handles drums up to 750 lbs. at 60 fpm speed.  All-welded construction and sturdy stainless steel components provide strength, to provide long-term operation.
