Polypropylene Filter Cartridges Ensure Process Compatibility

July 12, 2009

Pentair Industrial introduces the Versaflex™ Series meltblown polypropylene filter cartridges, delivering high flow rates and process compatibility for applications including food and beverage, oil, finish machining, solvents and others. The cartridges are constructed using a glue-free design and a thermal bonding process that seals the endcap securely to the cartridge, assuring bypass-free operation. Available in two models, VF-250MB and VF-250HE, Versaflex Series cartridges offer a variety of diameters, lengths and micron ratings, as well as chemical compatibility in most applications.

Versaflex Series cartridges are built with 100% polypropylene and manufactured with only FDA-listed materials, with no surfactants, binders or adhesives used in production. Designed with graded density matrixes to effectively trap contaminants, Versaflex cartridges deliver high dirt-loading capability, as well as long operational life. Both Versaflex models offer superior filtration, and the VF-250HE offers high efficiency, operating at 99% efficiency with micron ratings from one to 75. Plus, the micron rating is stamped onto each cartridge for simple identification.

To withstand a wide array of application environments, Versaflex cartridges operate at a temperature rating of 40° to 180° F. In addition, to ensure high quality and reliable operation, cartridges undergo rigorous performance testing. With these robust temperature ratings and proven performance, paired with high efficiency and a bypass-free design, Versaflex Series cartridges provide better flow rates and longer life than standard spun-bonded and stringwound cartridges.
