Water-Cooled Motors Utilize Wasted Heat

Feb. 25, 2009

Stainless Motors Inc., based in Rio Rancho, N.M., recently introduced its water-cooled stainless steel motors that are said to make productive use of heat that was formerly wasted. The water-cooled motors — ranging from 5 HP to 500 HP — deliver high performance, significant noise reduction, and remote monitoring of windings and bearings.

The water-cooling technology sends captured heat to designated locations, such as hot water storage, steam generator feed sites or in-plant processing sites.

The Stainless Motors line of standard and custom design products for pharmaceutical companies also includes shafts, endbells, flanges, and tachometer output or integral tachometer made to customer specifications.
