Bulk Equipment Systems Technology introduces twin-screw feeder

Bulk Equipment Systems Technology (B.E.S.T.) Inc.'s new Model TSF twin-screw feeder is designed for precise batching and weighing applications. The feeder's dual-helix design combines fast, high-volume filling with accurate dribble flow at the end of the cycle.

Model TSF twin-screw feeder's compact design is ideal when limited space prohibits multiple individual screw units. The two helixes—1-1/2" and 4" in diameter—are mounted on an 18" x 22" hopper. They are rated at 17 cu. ft. and 283 cu. ft. per hour, respectively, at maximum RPM with 100%-efficient conveyable product and no slippage.

Model TSF's hopper inlet is fitted with air pads and an on/off pulse timer to ensure positive, uninterrupted flow to the helixes. Regreasable lubricated bearings with air-purged shaft seals prevent any product leakage out the rear of the unit.

Ideal applications include batching to weigh-hoppers; low loss-in-weight scale-monitored flow; low loss-of-weight batch applications with scales; and, drum- and pail- packout lines. It is also recommended for recipe-type batching by multiple units that are typically computer-controlled.

Available options include longer helix extensions, integral supply hoppers, explosion-proof motors and controls, gravimetric designs with integral scales, and portable bases on wheels with leveling jacks. B.E.S.T. also supplies Allen Bradley system controls designed and built in B.E.S.T.'s on-site UL-listed panel shop.
