Nalco Co. has grown from a fledgling water treatment business to a leading global integrated water treatment and process improvement company. The company’s core markets include water treatment and process chemicals. Nalco has more than 11,000 employees who work with more than 70,000 customers in 130 countries in industry, government and institutions to reduce water and energy consumption by solving and preventing problems, protecting the environment, decreasing costs, increasing productivity, improving profitability by reducing customer total costs of operation and maintaining asset reliability. Through its global research groups, Nalco develops key ideas through its product development process.

    Erik Frywald

    Chairman, President and CEO

    Erik Fyrwald was appointed chairman, president and CEO of Nalco in February 2008. He previously served since 2003 as group vice president in charge of the $6.8 billion Agriculture and Nutrition division at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., where he reported to its chairman and CEO. In 1999, Fyrwald was named vice president for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development. In 2000, he was named vice president and general manager of DuPont's Nutrition and Health business.

    David E. Flitman

    Executive Vice President and President, Water and Process Services Division

    David E. Flitman has been Executive Vice President and President, Water and Process Services since January 2009. Before that he was Executive Vice President and President, Industrial and Institutional Services since joining Nalco in August 2008. Prior to joining Nalco, Mr. Flitman was President of Allegheny Power, the energy delivery arm of Allegheny Energy Inc.

    Bradley J. Bell

    Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

    Bradley J. Bell has been Nalco’s executive vice president and chief financial officer since joining the company in November 2003. From 1997 to 2003 Bell served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Rohm and Haas Co.

    Steve M. Taylor

    Executive Vice President, President, Energy Services Division

    Steve M. Taylor has been Executive Vice President, President, Energy Services Division since January 2009. He had been Group Vice President and President of our Energy Services division since May 2007. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Upstream Energy Services since 2006. In 2005, Mr. Taylor served as Strategic Business Unit Leader of our Oilfield Chemicals group. In 2004, he was named Division Vice President of Marketing for Upstream and Downstream in our Energy Services division. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Taylor served as Worldwide Marketing Manager. He served as North American Oilfield Chemicals Sales Manager from 1998 until 2002. He began his career with Nalco in 1995 as Middle East Sales Manager for Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals.
