Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. (Mitsui USA) is engaged in business investment, project development and management, and capital goods leasing and technology transfer, in addition to traditional businesses of a Sogo Shosha (general trading company) such as import, export, off-shore trade and domestic wholesale. The company was incorporated in New York in 1966.

President and CEO
Takahashi was appointed president and CEO on April 1. Takahashi also serve as a senior executive managing officer and chief operating officer of the Americas business unit of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. Takahashi joined Mitsui & Co.in 1977 and has built his career mainly in the company’s iron, steel and metals businesses, which involve global trade and investment activities. Prior to his current role, Takahashi was Mitsui & Co.’s executive managing officer and chief operating officer of its Iron and Steel Products business unit.
Kobayashi was appointed director on June 20, 2014. Prior to joining Mitsui, she served as executive vice president of the World Bank Group's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. President, Merrill Lynch Japan Securities Co., Ltd.

Iijima was appointed representative director, president and CEO of Mitsui & Co. (USA) parent company Mitsui & Co. Ltd. in 2009. He previously served in various roles with the company since 2006, including chief operating officer of the Mineral & Metal Resources business unit.
