Meet the people who provide outsourcing services

Sept. 13, 2007
A new Outsourcing Services and Contract Manufacturing Pavilion has been added to the Chem Show, Tuesday, October 30 through Thursday, November 1, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, N.Y.

“As more manufacturers from the chemical, pharmaceutical, and other process industries see the benefits of outsourcing functions that may have previously been done in-house, there are increasing opportunities for companies that supply these services,” says Clay Stevens, President of International Exposition Company, producers of the Chem Show. “We’re giving these companies a high visibility environment to gain exposure, target a wider audience and meet the people who are responsible for procuring these services.”

The new Outsourcing Pavilion will be located on the Exhibit Floor and include companies that provide a range of services including research and testing, manpower and logistical support, project management, as well as contract and toll manufacturing capabilities, to name a few.

“In an on-site survey conducted at our last Chem Show, more than 65% of visitors rated outsourcing services as an important issue for their companies in the next two years. It’s definitely a hot issue for our industry and we feel that the Pavilion is the best way to promote the opportunities that exist,” Stevens says.

Three other pavilions also will be provided during the show:

  • Facilities and Maintenance Showcase: This pavilion continues to grow in popularity. It’s designed to provide a broad cross section of CPI professionals with a comprehensive overview of the products and services they need to reduce downtime, meet stringent regulatory requirements, improve performance and increase reliability. More than 22 leading suppliers of maintenance solutions from around the country will be displaying hundreds of products never seen before at any other event.
  • Process Control and Automation Center: Will showcase hundreds of new products from more than three-dozen leading suppliers from four countries. Products featured at the Center range from advanced software systems for a variety of applications to process control, plant integration, measurement and analytical equipment.
  • Powder Processing Showcase: With a special focus on powder-related products from 35 companies, including five first-time exhibitors, special products featured here include: filtration equipment; mixers; controls; particle size analyzers; heat exchangers; explosion protection; scales/checkweighers; dryers; material handling equipment; control software; sieving and screening equipment; powder transfer systems; pumps; and valves and mills.
