The North American process industry’s Functional Safety Lifecycle, as given in ANSI/ISA-61511-1-2018, starts with performing both a Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and a Risk Assessment. The Risk Assessment is the means of ensuring that the Risk of a Consequence falls within an Organization’s Tolerance for Risk. This webinar will examine the advantages and limitations of various risk assessment methodologies such as Risk Graph, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), and others.

Traci Purdum, an award-winning business journalist with extensive experience covering manufacturing and management issues, joined Chemical Processing as senior digital editor in 2008. Additionally, she spent 10 years at IndustryWeek magazine.
