Danfoss Drives introduces the Vacon X5 HazLo AC Drive. Designed as an out of the box solution for hazardous locations, it is suited for applications in refineries, utility gas plants or anywhere else ignitable substances are not normally present but may exist in unusual scenarios. The Vacon X5 HazLo’s UL type 4X indoor/outdoor-rated enclosure provides a compact unit that reportedly eliminates the need for bulky, heavy and expensive enclosures. An additional enclosure box is not required. The Vacon X5 HazLo also offers greater mounting flexibility and lower cost installation due to its smaller size and lighter weight, according to the company. The Vacon X5 HazLo is programmed and controlled from the keypad. Users have complete access to all of the keypad functions. Simple programming provides clear and concise visual information.
