Feb. 20, 2009

BinMaster Level Controls introduces enhancements to its SmartBob2 weight and cable inventory management system for powder and bulk solids measurement in bins and storage silos up to 180-feet tall. Consisting of SmartBob measurement devices, control consoles and eBob reporting software, BinMaster provides an automated wired or wireless inventory monitoring and reporting solution for the grain, seed, feed, cement, coal, aggregates, food, chemical, pharmaceutical and plastics industries.

Measurement devices include the SmartBob2 remote for bins or silos up to 180-feet tall including a high-temperature model to operate in extreme conditions from 240 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, plus SmartBob-TS1 for smaller bins up to 40-feet tall. A new option for the SmartBob2 provides enhanced surge/transient protection for the RS-485 port for protection against power surges or indirect lightning strikes on tall silos. The new SmartBob C-100 Console reports measurements from up to 128 bins, while the Remote Start Unit – RSU console – is used for a single bin.

Windows-based eBob software can be used to initiate a measurement from a remote location and provide real-time inventory data from up to 100 vessels with a colorful, visual display of the level measurements. LAN configurations are also possible to share a common measurement database with multiple users on a local area network. Recent software updates include enhanced regional settings to support international date/time formats, simplified set-up and improved flexibility of e-mail reporting.
