Asahi/America, Inc. introduces a locking handle for their Type 21 Ball Valves

Asahi/America, Inc. introduces a locking handle for their Type 21 Ball Valves. The pad-lockable handle directly replaces the standard valve handle and acts as a deterrent to prevent unauthorized cycling of the valve. The design allows the handle to serve as a position indicator, easily demonstrating the current state of the valve. The handle also doubles as a carrier removal tool, used for valve maintenance and adjustments.

The locking handle is available as an option for Asahi’s Type 21 Ball valve sizes ½ inch to four inches. Sold in “kit” form, the handle permits easy field installation on new or existing Type 21 ball valves. No tools are required for sizes ½ inch to two inches and a #2 Philips head screwdriver is the only tool needed for installation of sizes 2 ½ inches to four inches.
