Mercury Oxide Electrode Good For Alkaline Battery Research, Process Monitoring

Applications for Koslow Scientific Co.’s new Mercury Oxide Reference Electrode include alkaline battery research and process monitoring in strong alkaline or chloride-free solutions.

The Mercury Oxide Electrode is constructed of rugged plastic and holds a Teflon junction making it ideal for use in corrosive media. The filling solution is Potassium Hydroxide (20%) and the standard potential half-cell is +0.098mV vs. the normal hydrogen electrode in basic solution. NaOH Electrolyte is available as well as other custom concentrations. The electrode is supplied with a 16” cable and a banana plug. The electrode is 4 1/2" long with a 5/8" OD.
