Yokogawa Corporation of America is expanding its facility in Newnan, Ga., in response to increased demand related to unconventional oil and gas production, the company said Jan. 23.

The company also expects to increase its full-time North American workforce to more than 1,000 workers by 2015.

“This current facility expansion here in Georgia will give us the capacity to continue our proud heritage of continuous improvement for our rapidly growing list of customers,” said Richard Westerfield, North American vice president of the measurement and control business unit.
