Solids modeling is integrated within the simulation environment

Process industry software provider Aspen Technology Inc. has launched aspenONE V8  process optimization software. The new software includes an updated version of  Aspen HYSYS; solids modeling functionality (acquired from SolidSim earlier this year) integrated within Aspen Plus and the new Aspen PIMS Platinum.

It also features a new version of Aspen Collaborative Demand Manager and innovations in advanced process control and energy and economic analysis.

aspenONE V8 was designed to allow new and occasional users to become proficient faster and allow experienced users to do more. This is critical for process industry companies facing workforce development and skills shortages, Aspen Tech notes. Usability and visualization enhancements in aspenONE V8 may also enable users to collaborate more easily, shortening project times and increasing productivity, according to Aspen Tech.
