DuPont Researcher McCauley Receives ACS Chemical Technician Award

DuPont scientist Brian McCauley receives American Chemical Society’s top technician award.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) awards DuPont researcher Brian McCauley the 2016 National Chemical Technician Award, which honors excellence and professionalism among technicians, operators, analysts and other applied chemical technology professionals. McCauley was selected for the award based on his technical achievements, leadership, mentoring and outstanding contributions to quality and safety, according to DuPont.

The award was presented to McCauley at the spring luncheon of the ACS Committee on Technician Affairs. The award luncheon was held at the 2016 ACS spring national meeting in San Diego, California.

McCauley is an associate investigator in the Corporate Center for Analytical Sciences group of DuPont Science & Innovation. Based at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware, he is responsible for new method development for new materials, and product and project development support. He joined DuPont in 2009. McCauley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Colorado School of Mines.
