HEI Announces Heat Exchange Equipment Standards

June 26, 2014
The Heat Exchange Institute released the first edition of Standards for Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers.

The Heat Exchange Institute (HEI) released the first edition of Standards for Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers. The first edition represents another step in HEI’s continuing effort to provide standards that reflect the latest technological advancements in the field of heat exchange equipment.

The HEI formally approved the formation of the Plate Heat Exchanger Section in 2011. Since then, its members have produced a design standard that provides users of gasketed plate heat exchangers with information on plate heat transfer technology, thermal and hydraulic heat exchange performance, mechanical design standards, assembly and fabrication, testing and preparation and operational considerations.
