Dow Receives Safety Award From National Safety Council

Green Cross recognizes company's commitment to health and safety.

The Dow Chemical Co. received the 2012 Green Cross for Safety medal during the 2011 NSC Congress and Expo in Philadelphia Oct. 31, the company said.
 
Dow is known for programs such as the “Drive to Zero” safety initiative, and its contractor safety training and commitment. Dow was also actively involved in the implementation of Responsible Care, the global chemical industry’s standard of care for safety, environmental performance, security, and product stewardship.

In 2010, Dow was the recipient of the Robert W. Campbell Award, established to recognize an organization for demonstrating world-class operational safety performance.
