The panel will offer insights on key challenges and provide practical guidance on how to identify, evaluate and effectively address safety.

Trish Kerin | Director | Institution of Chemical Engineers Safety Centre (ISC)

Trish Kerin is an award-winning international expert and key note speaker in process safety and the inaugural director of the IChemE Safety Centre. She leads a team who help organisations share and learn in process safety. Trish leverages off her years of engineering and varied leadership experience to help organisations improve their process safety outcomes.She has represented industry to many government bodies and has sat on the board of the Australian National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority. She is a Chartered Engineer, registered Professional Process Safety Engineer, Fellow of IChemE and Engineers Australia. Trish also holds a diploma in OHS, a Master of Leadership and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.Her expertise has been recognised with the John A Brodie Medal (2015), the Trevor Kletz Merit Award (2018) and Women in Safety Network’s Inaugural Leader of the Year (2022).

Sarah Manelick | Client Success Manager, Practice Leader – Alarm Management

More than 15 years of experience in the chemical and oil and gas industries with the last 12 years being dedicated to alarm management and process safety management. Responsibilities have included process safety and alarm rationalization facilitation, with expertise in the Alarm Management Lifecycle, risk assessment and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA). Experienced with regulatory standards for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration/Department of Transportation (PHMSA/DOT) in regard to alarm management and process safety.

Ryan Brownlee | Project Manager- MCC Americas / Hazardous Locations SME | Pepperl+Fuchs

Ryan Brownlee has been with Pepperl+Fuchs for over 20 years and has held various roles within the company including engineering and product design, production testing, product certification, solution engineering, and management roles. He currently serves as Product Manager –MCC Americas / Hazardous Locations SME at Pepperl+Fuchs. In this role, his responsibilities include managing all MCC products for the Americas region as well as keeping up to date on various standards and trends and supporting the organization internally on various product safety standards, particularly hazardous locations standards. Since 2014, he serves on both national and international standards committees for hazardous locations product safety standards, and is a recognized expert on the protection concepts for pressurization, intrinsic safety, and increased safety. He regularly provides training on a variety of topics related to hazardous location safety and product certifications.

Jason Krbec | Sales Engineering Manager | CV Technology

Jason Krbec, Sales Engineering Manager, CV Technology, is a recognized authority in the field of the dust explosion protection. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Florida. Mr. Krbec is an active member in The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME); American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
