Dr. James Cawse has four decades of experience developing industrial processes through chemical experimentation and designed experiments. His distinctions in this area include 28 patents, 41 papers, and the book Experimental Design for Combinatorial and High-Throughput Materials Development (Wiley, 2002). He holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University (1973). He spent six years at Union Carbide and 27 with GE, developing from a chemist to an experimental strategist. He was a founding member of the Combinatorial Chemistry team at GE Global Research and pioneered new experimental design methods optimized for high throughput research.
