Company Information

Energy Transfer is a Texas-based company that began in 1995 as a small intrastate natural gas pipeline operator and is now one of the largest and investment grade master limited partnerships in the United States. The company has roughly 71,000 miles of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), refined products and crude oil pipelines.

In 2012, Energy Transfer made an entrance into the crude oil and refined products business by acquiring Sunoco Inc., including its interest in Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P.

    Kelcy L. Warren

    CEO and Chairman

    In addition to his role as Energy Transfer’s chairman and CEO, Warren also serves as chairman of the board of directors of the general partner of Energy Transfer Equity L. P. Prior to the combination of the operations of ETP and Heritage Propane in 2004, Warren co-founded the entities that acquired and operated the midstream assets that were contributed in the merger. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Warren served as a Director of Crosstex Energy, Inc. and from 1993 to 1996, he served as president, chief operating officer and a director of Cornerstone Natural Gas Inc. Warren has more than 25 years of business experience in the energy industry.

  • Marshall S. McCrea

    President and Chief Operating Officer

    McCrea has served as president and Chief Operating Officer of Energy Transfer Partners L.P. since June 2008. Prior to this position, McCrea served as president of Energy Transfer Company, a subsidiary of ETP’s pipeline operations, since 2005. McCrea began his career in the energy industry in the mid-1980s and joined ETP in 1997 as senior vice president of business development and producer services. In 2004, following the combination of ETP’s midstream and propane operations, he served as senior vice president of commercial development.

  • Martin Salinas Jr.

    Chief Financial Officer

    Salinas has served as chief financial officer of Energy Transfer Partners since June 2008. Salinas joined the partnership in 2004 to serve as controller. Prior to joining ETP, Salinas spent 10 years at KPMG, ultimately serving as a senior audit manager, where he worked with clients in the energy industry.
