The latest webinar I moderated in the Chemical Processing series dealt with compressed air. Compressed air is used to power actuators and other equipment, and for cleaning and other services. Too often, though, compressed air is misapplied or wasted because users don’t appreciate the real cost of the utility.
In fact, one of our speakers noted that a compressed air leak you can hear and feel will cost your plant $1,400 per year. Yikes!
It was an interesting event that featured real-world guidance on how to make the most of compressed air systems. The webinar also explained rotary compressor technology. The last 20 minutes were dedicated to answering audience questions.
The speakers: Bill Scales, CEO, Scales Industrial Technologies; William “Bill” Kennedy, sales and products manager for Mattei Compressors, North America; and Jay R. Hedges
president, Mattei Compressors.
You can access this on-demand webinar via this link. Once there, it will do a systems check. You can then "skip and continue" to the next screen. You must register for the event -- if you haven't already done so. Once you get to the register page, please toggle over to the On Demand button at the top of the screen. Scroll to the bottom to see the Optimize Your Compressed Air Systems webinar that took place on Nov. 18. Check the "select this event" box and the fill out the registration form on the right. Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through, but it's pretty easy. And the information in this webinar is worth it. Enjoy!
