Festo Introduces Automated Valve Assemblies

Dec. 3, 2015
Solutions meet international standards for process automation safety in emergency shutdown conditions and hazardous environments.

Festo introduces pre-engineered automated valve assemblies featuring a ball valve integrated with sensor box, Namur valve, actuator and positioner. The packaged solutions meet the internationally recognized SIL 4 standard for emergency shutdown operation. The assemblies have NEC500, ATEX, and IECEx certifications for hazardous environments.

Festo also introduces a new Chemical Valve Technology (CVT) range of solenoid valves, available following the Festo acquisition of Seitz in 2014. The solenoid valves meet the highest international safety standards for emergency shutdown (ESD) applications, according to the company. The CVT line includes direct-acting and pilot-operated solenoid valves.

The modular Festo valve terminal MPA-L is suitable for inert gas control and safe operation. With up to 32 valve locations, the small footprint universal valve terminal offers direct fieldbus connectivity, an integrated automation interface with the Festo CPX electric and pneumatic motion control platform and the choice of multiple valve sizes and valve types.
