Dec. 2, 2015
The trickle valve operates as a constant discharge valve for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones and other equipment operating under negative pressure.

Aerodyne Environmental’s newly designed Vacu-Valve airlock valve is a trickle valve that operates as a constant discharge valve for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones and other equipment operating under negative pressure. Its duckbill design allows it to dispense free-flowing material continuously. The Vacu-Valve is available in the open design of the Platypus or the closed design of the Armadillo.

The new design offers a square flange or circular flange to better accommodate dust collection systems. The low-maintenance trickle valve is self-actuating, does not require lubrication and has no controls or power requirements. The unit is suitable for "keep empty" dust collection units and is offered in carbon steel or stainless steel versions. The replaceable duckbill sleeves are available in neoprene, white nitrile, VHT and silicone. The variety of sleeve materials allows the Vacu-Valve to accommodate a wide range of applications.

Vacu-Valves are typically utilized in industries including foundries, mining, cement, pharmaceutical, dry foods, plastics, chemical and manufacturing. The new square design are available in 8” or 10” sizes.
