Flow Meter Measures Wide Flow Ranges

Badger Meter Model IOG flow meters were designed to measure very viscous (up to 1,000 cP) and caustic fluids.

Badger Meter has expanded its industrial oval gear (Model IOG) series of flow meters. The new Model IOG 1 inch high-flow, and 1-1/2 inch, 2-inch and 3-inch meters provide Badger with a complete line of ¼-inch to 3-inch oval gear flow meters.

Badger Meter Model IOG flow meters were designed to measure very viscous (up to 1,000 cP) and caustic fluids, such as oils, coolants, fuels, lubricants, ink, paint, water solutions, and any other liquid compatible with the materials of construction. The meter line provides high accuracy (± 0.5 to ± 1 percent) and excellent repeatability (± 0.03 percent), even in low-flow environments and measure liquid flows as low as 0.07 gallons per minute (gpm) and up to 185 gpm.

The Model IOG line features a compact size intended for either vertical or horizontal installation into confined areas where space is at a premium. The meters do not require a straight run of pipe or flow conditioning. Models are available in either aluminum or 316L stainless steel construction.

Badger Meter Model IOG flow meters can be employed in harsh environments where conventional flow-measuring equipment is not acceptable. This includes processes with fluid temperatures from 22 degrees to 240 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 degrees to 120 degrees Celsius). Models are available with a choice of NPT or BSP threaded connections, or ANSI 150-pound or 300-pound flanges. A variety of instrumentation, both meter- and remote-mounted, is offered for control system interfacing or local monitoring.
