Explosion Isolation Valve Prevents Spread of Flames

Jan. 29, 2013
Valve has been designed for gas/dust/air mixtures.

Rembe has added the Ventex passive explosion isolation valve to its combustible dust explosion isolation product line. Ventex has been designed for gas/dust/air mixtures, with one-way or two-way acting system options available as well as signaling options to meet specific application requirements.

Protecting processes from the risks of combustible dust explosions, per NFPA standards, usually requires isolation of interconnected enclosures and conveying to contain an explosion. The pressure wave of an explosion pushes the Ventex valve closing device against a seal, locking the valve and effectively preventing the spread of flames and pressure.

The Ventex valve joins the Rembe line of explosion isolation devices, including the Rembe EXKOP system and the QFlapCompact II series inlet isolation device.
