Steam Trap Resists Corrosion

Replaceable module enables service without removing the trap body.

TLV has released the new Stainless Steel (A182 F304) P46SRN, part of TLV's PowerDyne thermodynamic steam trap family. Suited for steam mains, tracers, and coils, the P46SRN offers the same capacity, pressure and temperature specifications as the cast steel version but in a corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel body.

The TLV’s P46SRN features a replaceable module that enables service without removing the trap body from the installation; built-in screen and optional BD2 blowdown valve; and a high-tolerance, lapped disc to provide a steam-tight seal without air binding.

It also includes a durable bimetal air vent ring that automatically vents air and an air jacket to insulate the pressure chamber, which reduces no-load cycling, and minimizing the wear of the disc and valve seat.
