New unit provides essentially isothermal environment with high rate of heat transfer.

Omega Engineering has launched the Precision Fluidized Bath FFB-8 series, which employs the principle of fluidization of a mass of finely divided particles to provide a safe, essentially isothermal environment with a high rate of heat transfer. The FFB-8 provides a wide operating range of 50 degrees to 700 degrees Celsius (122 degrees to 1,292 degrees Fahrenheit), PID temperature control, and a built-in dust extraction and collection system.

The FFB-8 model offers a fast, safe and clean option that is non-abrasive to devices or parts put into the bath, including those that are highly polished. The bath unit is suited for thermal testing of sensitive components, such as semiconductor devices, wire products, delicate transducers, and may also be used as a constant temperature environment for chemical reactions.
