Thermal Conductivity Analyzer Features Integrated Sampling Pump

April 28, 2010
United Process Controls recently announced the TCSmart, a thermal conductivity analyzer for quantitative analysis of process binary gas

concentration. In binary or pseudo-binary gas systems, measurements are based on the different thermal conductivities of the gaseous components to provide quantitative analysis for the gas of interest.

Features of the TCSmart include an integrated sampling pump with variable output and a flow monitoring circuit for reliable sampling. It is equipped with alarms and warns of leaks or pump saturation. The pump provides continuously controlled flow to compensate potential disruption from obstructions or filter contamination, thus assuring accurate measurements and better process control. TCSmart incorporates a unique measuring cell design with advanced electronics that do not require reference gas cells, making installation and maintenance simpler. The measuring block is temperature controlled to prevent moisture contamination.

Integrated communications include CANBUS, MODBUS, PROFIBUS and analog outputs with other options available to enable interfacing system with SCADA and other automation systems. The TCSmart is customizable to specific gas systems, automation requirements and HMI interfaces.
